(mostly) Self-taught artist and photographer with a background in Finance and Computer Science. Student of learning, student of language, observer of cultures. Immigrant. Aspiring citizen of the world, talented maker of salads and sandwiches.

Current interests include blending the analytical and the creative, exploring non-verbal communication, and the intersection of the physical and the digital.

My photography

At heart I am a street photographer chasing human interaction. While I do like photographs where the subject is engaged with the photographer, my best work involves people who are not changing their behavior because of the presence of a camera. This is either because they are unaware that they are being photographed, or because I photograph them for so long that they eventually forget the camera is there.

I attempt to capture moments that are destined to be lost; beautiful moments that would otherwise go unnoticed. And I believe there is value in preserving them…of sharing these sparks of beauty, or compassion, or connection as they burn brightly for a split second and then disappear.
